Traveling with luggage or a folding cart? Add it to the ride plan
Tell the transportation provider what is traveling, how it folds, who can handle it, and where the passenger will meet the vehicle.

A seated passenger ride can require more planning when a suitcase, overnight bag, folding shopping cart, or other bulky item is coming too. The street address alone does not tell the provider how much space is needed, whether the item folds, or who can safely move it. Describing the belongings during booking helps everyone work from the same realistic pickup plan.
List what will travel
Tell the booking office the number and general size of bags, whether a cart or stroller folds, and whether any item is unusually heavy or difficult to handle. A soft tote and a rigid suitcase create different storage needs even when both are called a bag.
Update the reservation if the amount changes. Adding a large cart or several boxes on travel day may mean the original vehicle plan no longer fits the trip.
Separate passenger assistance from baggage handling
Ask what assistance is included and who is expected to carry, fold, or store each item. Do not assume a driver can lift heavy luggage, enter a residence, or leave the vehicle unattended unless that arrangement has been confirmed.
If the passenger needs hands-on mobility assistance as well as help with belongings, describe both needs clearly. One should not be hidden inside a general request for door-to-door service.
Choose a workable meeting point
Confirm the building entrance, loading area, gate, elevator, and path between the passenger and vehicle. Keep bags together in a safe place away from the roadway, and allow time to reach the meeting point before the scheduled pickup.
Keep identification, medication, keys, phone, and valuables with the passenger or responsible companion rather than inside luggage placed out of reach.
- Number and size of items.
- Whether the cart or equipment folds.
- Agreed handling assistance.
- Exact pickup and return meeting points.
Repeat the plan for the return
The return may include new paperwork, purchases, or personal items. Confirm what can travel before leaving the destination, especially if the vehicle or pickup location will be different.
Cathay Express Transportation can review passenger assistance and baggage details while a pre-arranged non-emergency ride is being discussed. Final arrangements depend on the confirmed trip and available vehicle.
